Welcome to the Under 12s.
The focus remains firmly on Fun and Friendship whilst delivering against both the core values of Rugby Union: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship and our club: Adaptability, Boldness, Responsibility, Friendship and Commitment.
We coach in line with the RFU’s Age Grade Rugby which is based on the principles of player centred, development driven and competition supported. The wants and needs of young people will be at its heart. It will put player enjoyment above all else to keep more young people enjoying the game for longer and into their adult years.
This year, the U12’s will continue with their rugby development as the team size increases significantly with 12 players on the field. The scrum is contested by the hookers but still no pushing is allowed, the scrum will now be comprised of the nearest 5 players. The pitch stays the same size at 35m to 43m and the laws remain the same as the U11s with kicking being permitted (no fly hacks) the big change is unlimited players can now support a ruck or maul instead of just 2.
If your child turned 11 years old before 31 August 2016, we would love to see them down at Aylesford Bulls U11s for some great rugby.
All our coaches listed below are fully qualified (click on the blue ribbon icons for details) and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked to ensure your child gets both the maximum benefit and enjoyment from their rugby.
We are a club run totally by parent volunteers. Helping out is a very rewarding way to spend a Sunday morning or Wednesday evening and we are always looking for more parents to help with our age group. If you would like to get involved – please contact me by clicking on my email icon below.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
