Welcome to the Under 10s – the next key stage in developing your child’s rugby skills.
The focus remains firmly on Fun and Friendship whilst delivering against both the core values of Rugby Union: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship and our club: Adaptability, Boldness, Responsibility, Friendship and Commitment.
We coach in line with the RFU’s Age Grade Rugby which is based on the principles of player centred, development driven and competition supported. The wants and needs of young people will be at its heart. It will put player enjoyment above all else to keep more young people enjoying the game for longer and into their adult years.
This year, the U9’s will continue with their rugby development as the team once again increases in size to 8 players. The pitch width grows slightly from 30m to 35m and the laws remain the same as the U9s except this year sees the introduction of the scrum, the maul and the ruck. The scrum will comprise of the nearest 3 players and is uncontested. 1 player can now support at a ruck or maul.
If your child turned 9 years old before 31 August 2016, we would love to see them down at Aylesford Bulls U10s for some great rugby. Our ethos is to introduce the children, both boys and girls, to how much fun rugby can really be.
All our coaches listed below are fully qualified (click on the blue ribbon icons for details) and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked to ensure your child gets both the maximum benefit and enjoyment from their rugby sessions.
We are a club run totally by parent volunteers. Helping out is a very rewarding way to spend a Sunday morning or Wednesday evening and we are always looking for more parents to help with our age group. If you would like to get involved – please contact me by clicking on my email icon below.
Please come along and see how much fun is to be had for both parents and children!
We look forward to seeing you soon!
