Mark Panton and Ed Seymour received a surprise all-expenses hospitality package to the England v Australia World Cup game at Twickenham as personal guests of England World Cup Winner Lewis Moody.
The pair have been participating in Aylesford Bulls’ “Return to Rugby” programme. The 10 week programme, delivered in collaboration with England Rugby, aims to get ex-players back in the game and enjoying social rugby again. Alister Fulton of Aylesford Bulls said “This is an amazing opportunity for guys of all ages and abilities to get a social re-introduction to the game.
It’s all about having fun and a pint with your mates and we’re really proud to be one of only handful of clubs to be chosen to deliver this programme”.
Mark said “the last time I put my boots on was probably about twenty years ago at school. I’m absolutely loving this, it’s great fun and a great bunch of lads. I don’t think we’ve stopped smiling since we stepped out”. Ed last played rugby 10 years ago and stopped after an injury, but says “I’m back and I’m loving it! I’m really enjoying the camaraderie and having a beer after a bit of hard work”.
The sessions run at the Jack Williams Memorial Ground on Hall Road on Mondays from 7.15pm until 8.30pm.
