Aylesford Bulls RFC COVID-19 Statement
Since our original statement was issued, the club committee have remained in continually contact. We have been working with all our suppliers to ensure Aylesford Bulls RFC will survived Covid-19 and come back with the spirit we have always been proud of.
We continue to monitor all government advice on a daily basis and have made all necessary amendments to our structure. As such the club and clubhouse will remain closed for fore sable future, and we all wait for any announcement on Thursday regarding the next phase, of social distancing.
Unfortunately, we now know we will continue to live with social distancing and school and club closure for a longer period. What does this mean to us?
We will not be able to hold an AGM at this time and all serving club official have agreed to continue. We will be saying a sad farewell to Dick Hooper – former player and club fixtures secretary for many year- but we knew about this in advance and had wanted to announce Mark Hughes will step into this role at the AGM. We wish Dick all the best and thank him for everything he has done Linton and Aylesford Bulls. We look forward to welcoming him to the club, as his travel plans allow.
We cannot open our Touch rugby programme, however, please rest assured we do hope to offer a summer programme as soon as we can
Pre-season and summer training cannot start- our senior coaches are working on a programme and our senior players are being encouraged to maintain their fitness. Our minis have been posting their morning fitness with “Joe Wick” and our U8 have already completed the toilets roll challenge- all great to see. We have seen youth players out practices/exercising/ All we ask is please ensure you are only out of your homes for 1 hour a day and ensure you only exercise with members of your own household. U14’s has held their first Zoom quiz night.
Please tell us what you are doing, the club is continuing to support local families with food boxes on Tuesday and Friday each week provide as many essentials as we can, with the food that is donated. Food donations can be brought to the club on these days.
Finally, we want to Thank you all our members who are front line/key workers, all please stay home and stay safe.
